We built our first hotel in Orillia, Ontario. The idea was to introduce Orillia's first luxury boutique hotel with luxurious hotel suites, an indoor swimming pool, pub style restaurant and fitness center to a growing trend of travelers. Stone Gate Inn was successfully opened to the public in 2001. The very best training for housekeeping, guest services, and administrative staff played a key role in guest satisfaction. Couple that with sales and marketing efforts, Orillia's only luxury boutique Inn went on to become [and still is] Trip Advisor rated the #1 hotel in Orillia.
With the experience gained in a decade of hotel ownership/management plans were now in place to expand into new areas of hospitality. In order to do that an in-house digital marketing agency was born---Elite Hospitality Group or EHGroup.ca. This digital media studio would internally support existing and new properties that will require online and offline ongoing marketing services such as social media, website design/ongoing developments, content marketing, digital graphic design for multiple media formats and video production.
After extensive research into looking for another hotel that fit the criteria The Best Western Pembroke Inn & Conference Center was purchased. This hotel included a restaurant, fitness center and 88 hotel suites along with a beautiful staff of smiling faces.
Reputation, guest satisfaction and pristine condition attracted prospectors to make an offer to purchase that was accepted by ownership. With this unexpected sale, plans were made to construct and develop new properties. Not only are we expanding our property portfolio, we are also offering our hotel marketing experience to other property owners.
New properties have been purchased to build on. After spending some time with surveyors, architects and city approvals we are now ready to build. This is an exciting time for us and we hope to meet you soon...
